Living in Strangford, a small village beside Strangford Lough, has been a continual influence on my artistic practice. Having spent the past four years away from home, many of my ideas are rooted in memory and time, drawn from past temporalities where the sea serves as a reminder of home. These works become material echoes of home that evoke a warm sense of place and belonging.
Accumlation Jar attempts to collect my experience walking at the beach; embedding objects in the pot preserves the transient experiences from that specific place and time.
