My practice is based in ceramics, sound, and site-specific materials to create installations that invite reflective engagement with the environment. By animating objects and playfully reimagining ancient utilitarian forms, my work bridges historical and contemporary practices. Drawing on personal experience, I navigate themes of memory, family, place, and materiality, often through the anthropomorphic vessel. Grounded in embodied research methods such as walking, foraging, and experimenting with locally sourced organic materials, my work is deeply tied to a sense of place. I prioritise slow, intentional craftsmanship, employing the neolithic 'colombino' hand building technique and pulverising weathered materials to create sustainable glaze alternatives. My intentional approach reflects an ecological sensitivity and a resistance to the values of mass production and consumerism, inviting a more considered relationship between object, maker, and viewer.
